VIDEOTIVOLI BEGINS ITS SIXTH ROUND!
The international children and youth video festival Videotivoli takes place for the sixth time in early March 2009 in Tampere, Finland.
They are looking for films made by children and young people of age 16 or under from all over the world. The maximum length for a film is 10 minutes. There are no restrictions to the style or the subjects of the films. Films can be for example animation, documentary, music videos, art, or fiction. They can be funny sketches, pleasant stories, thoughts of youth, your own experiences, or something you’ve always wanted to share with other people.
Videotivoli wants to present a wide range of films from all over the world at its screenings. In addition, there will be the second competition between films made by the youth of Baltic and Nordic countries. The competition is arranged together with Kids for Kids network.
Videotivoli is from children to children and from young people to young people. It is also from one organization to another. The festival gives a chance for young people to have their works shown to the public. The event provides an international forum for like-minded people to interact and is a refreshing opportunity to practice media education.
Films must be sent to us by November 15th 2008. On the website (http://www.videotivoli.fi/english09/index.htm) you will find further information and the rules. Please fill in the entry form and send it to us along with your film.
Videotivoli is arranged by Pirkanmaa Film Centre with the help of Tampere Film Festival. Young people and adults are also welcome to enjoy the vast programme of Tampere Film Festival.
